Picture Perfect Photography

So I have started my own photography business. September 1, 2012 was the legal open date for my newest baby!  I have done pretty good since then too...I have a great client base that keeps growing and have just recently been contracted to do a few specialty shoots.  As a mother of 2 growing children and a husband that works hard to make ends meat, I always look for an alternative to the pricier products that we both need and want.  I know I'm not alone in this since our fine country is currently in a financial decline thus the reason for starting my own business. I wish I could tell you that I started it for the money, to help bring more income in and make things easier on my family as a whole, but this is not so. I am not a greedy or selfish person and I thought to myself, Why not do something that will benefit other families like mine!!! Lets start an affordable photography company that works around your schedule and needs, Thus the birth of Picture Perfect!

Now that I have rambled on and on about why I started, I want to get into the artsy side of things. I love that my clients give me free reign in the art department of my business. Of course I do the crowd pleasing shots...the poses and styles most people want, but I throw a few shots in for me.  I fully edit all my photos and, though not all people love what I do, I get great feed back on most of my work.  Photography is a cut throat business and there are amateurs, like myself, that thought to themselves lets start a business, but unlike myself, they fail to go the extra steps and actually learn the craft they are entering.  I have a natural ability to look at things and see them from inside a camera lens and I am getting better and better at actually capturing the essence of the shot I am trying my hardest to get.  I have also taken a course to learn the different settings of my equipment.  The information is out there, you just have to look for it.  I have taken 5 free courses on different aspects of my craft and learned a little from each one but I can honestly say I have learned the most from experimentation and brazenly asking other professionals for advise.  You will NEVER learn everything there is to know about photography and there is NO wrong way to do it.  Weather you are a professional, semi-pro or amateur and have a point-and-shoot or a $5,000 camera, you are an artist!!! It is all about perspective and what your clients or yourself want out of a photo.

I am done rambling on and on about something I do not claim to be an expert at and I will leave you with a few of my favorite shots.
